M-Tech Systems has had a very strong relationship with the education sector from day one. All of our staff have, at some point in their career, worked at an educational establishment, gaining experience across the board from IT to audio visual. With all this experience in mind we expect you to find that M-Tech can smoothly steer your school though the technological and brand minefield of information and communication technology provision.
West Rise Primary School
Eastbourne Junior School West Rise have opted to join the M-Tech experience in all product and service aspects. After the departure of their onsite part time technician the school was faced with a dilemma—do we re fill the post or seek an alternative solution for provision and technical support. M-Tech were able to step straight into the shoes of not only the previous post holder but also, due to our comprehensive knowledge of ESCC 'integrated' networks, the role of the LEA technician. M-Tech technicians will now attend site for half a day per week, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge from years of combined experience in education and the advantage of the latest cutting edge technologies and ideas from the corporate arena. The entire campus has been ‘wireless enabled' to allow staff to roam the school with their laptops, and a building-to-building wireless link has been installed between the main building and the outlying studio. A new Admin server will be installed shortly with Microsoft Exchange to not only improve message flow, but to provide collaboration facilities for Microsoft Project, an idea pioneered by Deputy Head, Neil Small. West Rise have also opted for the Prism suite to eventually reduce the network's total cost of ownership with flexible software distribution and other key features. “We can telephone M-Tech, place a new software CD in a computer's CDROM drive and within minutes the program is available to all users across the school's fifty or so computers” “The ability to support, install and tweak our network remotely is now an indispensable commodity. Altogether, M-Tech have made a vast difference to our school's technology” says Neil.

Parkmead have been on board (no pun intended!) with M-Tech for two years, receiving the benefit of our full range of products and services. They have opted for fully installed 500 series boards in all bar one of their classrooms – soon to be filled with the new 600 series board. We also supply a comprehensive managed support service covering all computers, servers and AV equipment, as well as providing training and guidance for staff in the latest software and hardware.
Hankham Primary School
Hankham also have a long standing relationship with M-Tech. Like Parkmead, Hankham have a fully managed support agreement and have 500 series boards in all classrooms. Hankham have chosen M-Tech to support, train and supply ICT for the last three years. On this basis, Mr Michael Round the Headteacher, has agreed for Hankham to be our educational reference site. We are currently working on a custom board installation for the main hall at the school, endeavouring to preserve the aesthetics of the old building whilst seamlessly adding new technology. The brief is currently in design but the finished installation will be detailed here at www.smartboardsolutions.co.uk when complete. Hankham School – 01323 763900 bell@hankham.e-sussex.sch.uk
